Award winning commercial and fine art photographer Sara Porter was born and raised in Liverpool. After a number of years away from Merseyside which included a stint teaching in Paris, Sara returned to the area and is now based in Hoylake on the Wirral Peninsula.

Having originally studied photography whilst at school, she continued developing her photographic skills on the university paper whilst studying for a degree in Chemistry at Cardiff University, turning to freelance photography in 2002.

She is known for her work in portraiture with a focus on showing something of the personality of the person in front of the camera. She is also in demand for her on location commercial work as a result of her creativity and her understanding of her client's PR and marketing needs.

Sara's images have featured in a number of exhibitions including several solo exhibitions. In 2016 she was the recepient of the BIPP's North West Commercial Photographer of the Year.

At present, as well as her comercial schedule, Sara is currently working on 50 Portraits a project celebrating the 50th Anniversary of Chethams School of Music in Manchester. The images from the project will be exhibited at Stoller Hall in Manchester across 2019. Some of the images from this work can be seen at
