“In a world in which we are bombarded with images, photography can often be mistrusted and misused. Rather than feeding the imagination or providing inspiration or information, it has all too often become something to be scrolled through at speed. Good photography should be like a good book, it should tell a story, create interest, inspire or inform. What it shouldn’t do, is compete for likes from people who aren’t interested in paying it any real attention.”
Award winning commercial photographer Sara Porter was born and raised in Liverpool and frequently works with her husband on shoots.
Her work is often people and location based and she is known for the care and creativity that is put into every shoot from pre-shoot preparation to post-production of the final images.
Product work incorporates a creative slant which has seen drinks cans as cricket stumps, cities made out of screws and watches in snowstorms.
As a CAA qualified drone operator she is also able to bring a different perspective to location work.
