Escudo Watches teamed up with American adventurer Rich Manley to create this limited edition piece. The watch was created not only with Rich Manley’s adventuring spirit but also with his love of magic in mind. This created several angles when looking at creating imagery with the watch.

There is the beautiful colour of the watch bezel for which I created a smilier colour bokeh (blurred light effect) as a background.

For capturing the sense of adventuring spirit I made use of maps and climbing ropes, positioning the watch in the foreground.

Probably one of the most simplest looking images of the shoot was the one relating to the magicians influence. The watch has an etched 5 of diamonds which only appears briefly when you breathe on the watch. Photographing any reflective surface but especially one that is slightly curved, presents some challenges. With this image though, there was the additional challenge in that the lighting also had to be angled so that I could catch the etching clearly in the few seconds that it was present.
